A practical, science-informed approach to long-term health, strength, and metabolic wellbeing.
Like many people, my interest in health began personally.
When I was younger, I experienced rapid weight gain that left me feeling frustrated, exhausted, disconnected from my body, and confused.
That experience sparked a lifelong curiosity about metabolism, nutrition, muscle, hunger, movement, behaviour, and the many factors that influence long-term health. Over the past 25+ years, that curiosity has evolved into both professional study and lived experience.
Beyond my professional background, my own health journey has continued to shape the way I approach coaching. Navigating menopause brought challenges that extended far beyond changes in body composition. Sleep became more elusive. Recovery changed. Tendons became more vulnerable to injury. Building and maintaining muscle required greater intention.
At the same time, I became determined to improve bone health after developing pharmacologically induced osteoporosis and to better understand how changing hormones influence nearly every aspect of physical and mental wellbeing.
Rather than accepting these changes as inevitable, I immersed myself in the research surrounding menopause, metabolic health, strength training, nutrition, sleep, and healthy aging; not simply to improve my own health, but to better support others navigating similar experiences.
That journey reinforced something I believe today more than ever: our bodies are remarkably adaptable. With the right knowledge, the right tools, and consistent attention to the fundamentals, we can build greater strength, resilience, vitality, and confidence at every stage of life.
A different perspective on why people struggle
I have come to understand that most people are not failing because they lack willpower. More often, they are navigating modern life with chronic stress, poor sleep, low muscle mass, highly processed food environments, information overload, and years of conflicting health messaging, all while trying to care for families, careers, relationships, and the demands of everyday life.
For some people, biology adds another layer. Differences in genetics and appetite regulation can make it much harder to recognize or respond to feelings of fullness, contributing to a lifetime of frustration, shame, and unhealthy patterns around food. Over time, these experiences can become part of a person's identity, reinforcing the belief that they simply lack discipline or willpower. In reality, these individuals often benefit even more from a way of eating that prioritizes satiety, preserves muscle mass, and supports long-term metabolic health.
None of this means lasting change isn't possible. The human body - and the human mind - are remarkably adaptable when given the right support, the right tools, and enough time.
The Philosophy Behind LIVIT
I believe that lasting health is built through consistent attention to the fundamentals.
My work focuses on improving metabolic health by strengthening the areas that have the greatest impact over time: muscle mass, nutrition, movement, recovery, stress management, supplementing where appropriate, and sustainable daily habits.
I believe deeply in the importance of building and maintaining muscle mass as we age. Muscle is about far more than appearance; it plays a central role in metabolic health, insulin sensitivity, blood sugar regulation, strength, mobility, bone health, recovery, resilience, and overall quality of life. Building it. Nourishing it. Resting it. Appreciating what it allows you to do. These are the investments that help ensure vitality for the next chapters of your life.
Health is never the result of one habit or one decision. It's the cumulative effect of the choices we make every day, and my role is to help you identify the ones that will have the greatest impact on your life—both now and for the decades ahead.
Improving your health should not be a source of stress, shame, or obsession.
The people I work with are intelligent and capable, but tired of all-or-nothing approaches and overwhelmed by the endless stream of conflicting health information. I provide clarity, education, support, and practical strategies that fit the reality of their lives.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to better health. For some people, nutrition, movement, and lifestyle changes are enough. For others, additional tools like GLP-1 medications or other peptide therapies prescribed by their healthcare provider may be appropriate. Peptides are amazing tools, not shortcuts or failures, and when used thoughtfully they can be incredibly effective. My role is to help you navigate those decisions without judgment while preserving muscle mass, supporting metabolic health, and building habits that last.
At the heart of LIVIT Health is the belief that the human body is remarkably adaptable when given the right support over time. My goal is to help you build greater strength, resilience, vitality, confidence, and long-term health so you can continue showing up fully for the people and experiences that matter most.
